INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- A skateboarder who was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver in Inglewood is asking the female suspect to come forward.

Brandon Phillips, 19, was skateboarding near the Chase Bank in the 3500 block of W. Century Boulevard when he says a woman behind the wheel of beige Jeep hit him.

Phillips says he fell to the ground screaming for help, but the woman drove away.

"I didn't have time to react because it happened so fast. She didn't stop. The only reason why she stopped was to back up and reverse, and to go up the hill that I was coming down from," the victim said.

He suffered a broken leg and a fractured wrist, and is asking the woman to please turn herself in to authorities.
