Driver leads LAPD on chase in South Los Angeles

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A driver led Los Angeles police on a chase in South Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department chased the suspect in residential neighborhoods in South Los Angeles and Watts.

The suspect drove the wrong way on several streets and crossed through a park in an attempt to get away.

At one point, officers attempted to use a spike strip but the suspect drove around it.

The chase came to an end in Watts when the suspect attempted to flee on foot, but was caught by officers.
