CSUN police warn students of attempted kidnapping on campus

NORTHRIDGE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police are on alert around California State University-Northridge on Saturday after a woman was nearly kidnapped near campus dorms.

University police said the crime happened around 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the corner of Lindley Avenue and Lassen Street.

A man is accused of trying to grab a woman but she managed to outrun him and got away.

Police said they do not have a detailed description of the suspect, but are looking for a getaway driver who was in a Toyota Camry with tinted windows.

The victim escaped uninjured.
