DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) --Thousands of fans descended upon the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles for Lakers great Kobe Bryant's final NBA game on Wednesday.

Fans traveled from all over the world to witness Bryant lace up his sneakers one last time for the Purple and Gold, a true testament to his global presence.
After 20 seasons, 1,346 regular season games, 220 playoff games, seven NBA finals and five NBA Championships, the 37-year-old future Hall of Famer will retire following the conclusion of the season.
Bryant ranks third on the NBA all-time scoring list and holds Lakers' franchise records for points, games, minutes, field goals, three-point field goals, free throws and steals.
During the game, Bryant did not disappoint, scoring 60 points while in vintage form.

The effort was good enough to push the Lakers to a 101-96 victory over the Utah Jazz.
