Pellet-gun attacks reported in Newport Beach neighborhood
Newport Beach police are looking for whoever shot these pellets at three people over two days.

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- Newport Beach police are looking for whoever carried out pellet gun attacks three times in two days.

Two people and their cars were hit by pellets on Sunday in the 1900 block of Sherington Place, police said. Then on Monday a jogger was hit in the same neighborhood.

"All of them suffered minor injuries," said Newport Beach police spokesperson Jennifer Manzella. "The pellets are small - about the caliber of a BB gun."

Police believe there may be more victims and are stepping up their visible presence in the neighborhood to try to catch whoever may be responsible.

They asked anyone with information about the pellet-gun shootings to call Newport Beach police at (800)-550-NBPD.
