UPLAND, Calif. (KABC) -- A $10,000 reward is being offered to help find the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a homeless mother of four and former homecoming queen in Upland last month.

Kristen Pretzer, 47, was living on the streets after falling victim to addiction.

She was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver while walking near the intersection of 8th Street and Mountain Avenue on March 30.

Upland police Lt. Clifford Matthews said that traffic investigators identified car parts in the roadway that belonged to a 2012 to 2015 Honda Accord, possibly dark colored that may have damage to the grill and headlights.

"While we presume this was an accident, when this driver failed to stop or render aid or call 911, they became a murderer," said Pretzer's brother, Johnnie Young.

Anyone with information was asked to call the Upland Police Department at (909) 946-7624.
