Los Angeles Zoo receives rare Australian perentie lizards
Two rare Australian perentie lizards and 23 other rare species arrived at the Los Angeles Zoo and are ready for their debut.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Two rare Australian perentie lizards and 23 other rare species arrived at the Los Angeles Zoo and are ready for their debut.

The perentie is the largest lizard in Australia and the fourth-largest living lizard on Earth. Outside of Australia, there is only one other pair in captivity at the Dallas Zoo.

The lizards were taken out of quarantine Thursday morning, and zoo curators are excited about the unique reptiles.
