Man crashes into Downey store after suffering medical problem

DOWNEY, Calif. (KABC) -- A medical problem may have caused a man to lose control of his vehicle and crash into a Verizon store in Downey Wednesday night, police said.

The crash occurred at a store in the 12000 block of Lakewood Boulevard around 10 p.m.

The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The store was closed at the time of the crash. No other injuries were reported.
