SALEM, Oregon (KABC) -- It was a terrifying experience for a teenage girl home alone when burglars broke in. Salem, Oregon, police said the girl was incredibly brave when she came face-to-face with the intruders.

A panicked mother called to report a break-in when her 18-year-old daughter, Jensen Clark, was home Wednesday and texted her.

"He started ringing the doorbell like six or seven times in a row, just getting pretty aggressive about it," Clark said.

Her mother replied, "don't answer" as she dialed 911.

Clark said she texted her mother saying she was hiding inside her father's closet when she heard footsteps inside the house.

"...I heard the door open to the room where I was in, and that's when I started getting really, really scared," the teen added.

Clark sent her mother multiple messages, thinking she was near the end.

"They're in dad's room. I love you so much mommy," she wrote.

Her mother replied saying "hold on," and then received a horrifying response from her daughter - "They found me."

Jensen came face-to-face with a female intruder, who sheriff's deputies identified as Tiffany Wicke. Wicke, however, was not alone.

"And she goes, 'There's someone in here.' And at that point they're looking at me, and we're all within a two-foot radius. I stood up. I said, 'You guys need to leave immediately. If you leave right now, I will not do anything,'" Clark recalled.

Clark's mother, unaware of her daughter's brave stance, waited for her next text.

Investigators said Wicke and Jestahn Jackson fled the house and were arrested a short time later.

Both suspects were charged with first-degree burglary.

As for Clark, deputies said she did everything right to protect herself and help catch the suspects.
