HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A section of Huntington Beach was closed Sunday afternoon after officials spotted several large sharks in the water.

Two or three sharks longer than eight feet were spotted by an Orange County Sheriff's Department helicopter around 2 p.m., officials said.

They were seen about 150 yards offshore from Anderson Street, officials said.

Officials decided to close Sunset Beach between Warner Avenue and Anderson.

There was no reported contact between the sharks and any people.
