Authorities dispersed a rowdy crowd of students in their underwear at UCLA during the annual "Undie Run" early Thursday morning.

Authorities responded to the scene around 1 a.m. A rowdy crowd had formed from a large group of people that came to watch the run.

UCLA campus police and Los Angeles police officers dispersed the crowd consisting of nearly 8,000 runners and several hundred spectators. A few of the participants jumped on a cop car, but no arrests were made.

The Undie Run was started in 2002 and involves students running in their underwear around the time of final exams.
