TARZANA, LOS ANGELES -- Thieves targeted Kevin Hart's Tarzana home while the actor was out of town and stole half a million dollars worth of his possessions, police said.

The LAPD's West Valley Division confirmed the suspects ripped off $500,000 worth of clothes, jewelry, watches and other personal items from the comedian's home.

Hart reported the loss on Monday, when he and his family returned from a trip to Miami.

No one was home at the time of the burglary.

Surveillance video from the residence and the gated neighborhood is now being reviewed by police.

Hart has been promoting his new movie, "Central Intelligence," which opens Friday.
