A 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of felony vehicular manslaughter after one person was killed when a car crashed into a Boyle Heights taco stand Sunday night.

Maribel Rosas is suspected of crashing her Nissan Altima into parked cars and a taco stand in the 370 block of South Clarence Street around 10 p.m. Authorities said people were ordering and waiting for food when the car careened into the stand.

Los Angeles police said a 50-year-old male customer was killed and eight other people were injured. Two people were taken to a hospital in critical condition and one for minor injuries.

The five other people declined to be taken to a hospital and were treated at the scene.

Detectives said Rosas was tested for alcohol at the scene and came out two times over the legal limit. She was booked into jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

The investigation was ongoing.
