FOLSOM, Calif. (KABC) -- A kitty and a black bear at a Northern California zoo have formed an unlikely and adorable friendship.

When the feral cat wandered into the bear section of the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary, some worried about the kitty, but there was no need.

Zookeepers said the black feral cat, affectionately nicknamed "Little Bear," showed up at the zoo a few years ago and settled in with the black bears, Sequoia and Tahoe.

The kitty took a special liking to Sequoia, a 550-pound black bear.

When Sequoia walks around the enclosure, Little Bear follows close behind.

Little Bear likes to join in during mealtime too, but zookeepers now give her a bowl of cat food of her own.
