COMPTON, Calif. (KABC) -- A young pilot from Compton suffered a setback in his quest to break a world record as the youngest African-American to fly around the continental U.S.

Isaiah Cooper took off from Compton Tuesday morning, but he ran into a snag after his plane made a crash-landing in Wyoming.

Fortunately, Isaiah walked away unharmed.

The 16-year-old was forced to land on a street due to weather conditions and is waiting for another plane to resume his flight.
