PLAYA DEL REY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A Los Angeles International Airport motorcycle officer was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Playa del Rey.

The officer was hit around 12:33 a.m. at the intersection of Pershing Drive and West Manchester Avenue. The officer suffered fractured wrists, cuts and bruises.

Authorities said there were four passengers in the suspect's car. The driver was taken into custody less than two hours after the collision.
