Squirtle is California's most wanted Pokemon, survey finds

Squirtle is California's most wanted Pokemon, according to a new survey.

Video game buyback service Decluttr examined search engine queries related to "Pokemon GO," looking specifically at searches with phrases like "Where is..." and "How to find..." and pairing them with the names of Pokemon in the game to determine which Pokemon were in demand in different places.

Even after all these years, Pikachu is still the most-wanted Pokemon across the country.

Nationwide, Squirtle was tied in fourth place; players in Missouri were also on the hunt for the turtle-like creature.

The second most-searched Pokemon is Eevee. Despite being one of the lesser known characters, players in Alaska, Illinois, Nevada, North Carolina and Texas are all in search for her.

Ditto, Mew, Charizard and Abra rounded out the top five.
