HARBOR GATEWAY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A lockdown was lifted at a building in Harbor Gateway after reports of a man armed with a gun were received by the Los Angeles Police Department on Thursday.

Authorities said they received the call at about 1:35 p.m. and officers responded a building located at 879 W 190th St. near Vermont Avenue.

Los Angeles police established a perimeter around the building as officers in tactical gear searched the building and surrounding area.

After an extensive search, authorities said there was no evidence of a person armed with a gun or evidence of a crime.

Building occupants were alerted so business could return to normal.
