COVINA, Calif. (KABC) -- Two people in a stolen vehicle led police on a wild chase through freeways and surface streets from Riverside to Covina Monday morning, authorities said.

The pursuit began at 3rd Street and Kansas Avenue in Riverside shortly before 6 a.m., according to Riverside police.

Authorities said a male driver was traveling at 80 mph on the westbound 210 Freeway before making his way to the 10 West. A male passenger was also in the stolen silver jeep.

At one point, the unidentified driver appeared frustrated and bumped a silver car while on the 10 Freeway in the Pomona area.

The driver eventually exited the 10 West at Holt Avenue. He continued traveling at high speeds before reaching a cul-de-sac at Ranch Creek Road in Covina.

Both the driver and passenger of the stolen jeep stepped out of the vehicle and were detained by authorities without incident at about 7 a.m.
