Kershaw's Challenge: Dodgers ace to host celebrity ping-pong tournament
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw and his wife Ellen Kershaw will host a celebrity ping-pong tournament at Dodger Stadium.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw is known for his dominance on the mound, but his heart off the field is changing the lives for many around the world.

The winner of the National League MVP trophy and three Cy Young awards, Kershaw's greatest accolade may be the success of his charity "Kershaw's Challenge."

The Texas native and his wife Ellen started the endeavor together which aims to encourage others to use their passion and abilities to help those less fortunate.

Also, for every strikeout he throws, Kershaw donates money to Kershaw's Challenge.

Kershaw's second love is playing ping pong, and he will host a celebrity ping-pong tournament on Dodgers field on Aug. 11 to benefit his charity.
