Authorities are searching for three armed suspects who tied up a woman and looted her home in Sherman Oaks Tuesday night.

Police believe it's possible that the woman was followed home, saying she stopped at Gelson's and In-N-Out before heading home.

Minutes after arriving home, the victim was accosted by the suspects at her home near Ventura Canyon and Oleander Lane at about 10:30 p.m. Authorities said the female victim walked out of her front door because she thought she left her garage door open.

That's when the three suspects in ski masks confronted her and forced her back inside. Police say each suspect was armed with a revolver.
The suspects then tied up the woman and stole items from her home. At some point, she was able to escape through a window and ran to a neighbor's house to call police. When officers arrived around, they searched her home and yard but were unable to find the suspects.

Neighbors said the woman is in her 30s and lives at the place with her husband, but during the incident, police said she was home alone.

No description of the suspects was released by authorities. The investigation was ongoing.
