Cool Kid Imanelijah Zeinali educates zoo attendees about animal kingdom

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Our ABC7 Cool Kid for Thursday, July 28, is Imanelijah Zeinali, who volunteers at the L.A. Zoo to bring humans and animals closer together.

"I feel like if you bring an appreciation toward that, people are going to appreciate animals outside of the world as well," Zeinali said.

While the requirement for student volunteers is only 60 hours, the 17-year-old has already completed 850 hours in three years.

The zoo's manager of volunteer programs Kirin Daugherty said that Zeinali's passion rubs off on others.
