1 killed, 1 in critical condition after drive-by shooting in Westminster

WESTMINSTER, Calif. (KABC) -- One man died and another was fighting for his life Saturday after a drive-by shooting in Westminster late Friday night.

Officers were called out at about 10:30 p.m. Friday to the 15800 block of Maybrook Street after a 19-year-old was shot in the head and a 20-year-old was hit in the abdomen, Westminster police said. Both were initially listed in critical condition and the 19-year-old man died on Saturday, officials said.

Investigators said the victims had just arrived home when they were shot.

Authorities did not immediately give out a description of the shooter or the suspect vehicle.
