Man shot, woman assaulted in Riverside; police look for attacker

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KABC) -- Police in Riverside were looking for suspects after a man and a woman were attacked in a parking lot early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to a parking lot in the 1400 block of University Avenue at about 2:45 a.m., Riverside police stated in a press release.

Authorities said they found a man who had been shot, and nearby was a woman who had been beaten up.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital and was listed in critical condition. Police said the woman was in stable condition.
