2 kids, woman struck, killed by suspected drunk driver in Placentia
A woman and two children died after being hit by a suspected drunk driver in Placentia Saturday night.

PLACENTIA, Calif. (KABC) -- A woman and two children died after being hit by a suspected drunk driver in Placentia Saturday night.

Authorities said they were in the area of the 800 block of La Jolla Street around 10:25 p.m. when they heard a crash. As officers arrived to the scene, they discovered all three bodies lying on the street, according to authorities from the Placentia Police Department. The woman and both children, believed to be under the age of 10, were declared dead at the scene.

Twenty-seven-year-old Nicholas Stephen Munoz is accused of striking the victims with his car and then crashing into another vehicle, Placentia PD officials said.

Munoz and the second driver stayed at the scene and Munoz was arrested on suspicion of murder and driving under the influence with injury, police said.

The victims' names were not released, and it was not known whether the woman and children were related.
