VANCOUVER, Wash. (KABC) --A man in his underwear was beat up at a Starbucks in Vancouver, Washington, apparently by a neighbor who thought he had stolen his remote.
The man said the assailant had first burst into his apartment and attacked him, claiming he had stolen his remote control. He fled the building and his neighbor followed him to the Starbucks.
In the video, the neighbor, later identified as 35-year-old James Neal, is seen pushing and shoving the man to the ground and trying to attack him before customers at the Starbucks wrap him up and pull him away. Bystanders are also seen trying to help the man on the ground.
Station KOIN in Portland later reported that Neal, who identified himself as a diagnosed schizophrenic, was charged with second-degree assault and second-degree burglary. The man in his underwear was identified as Roldan Robledo and was treated at a hospital for facial injuries.
