Fullerton vandals strike 15 times with pellet gun over weekend

FULLERTON, Calif. (KABC) -- Fullerton police said vandals struck with a pellet gun at least 15 times over the weekend.

Authorities said the vandals shot homes, cars, and businesses. There were several reports of shattered windows, police stated.

"This is really reckless. This is just irresponsible," said Fullerton resident Vincent Wang.

Wang went out to water his plants this weekend and found a pile of broken glass, and part of his wall was shattered.

Officials said incidents have taken place all over the city the last few months, but this weekend's vandalism centered near the area of Gilbert Street and Hughes Drive. Several homes were hit on Catlin Street in the Amerige Heights community.

The vandals have been striking during the overnight hours, investigators said.

Police stated a suspect vehicle was seen on the west side of the city and was described as either as a white four-door sedan or silver BMW.

The rash of vandalism is just part of a huge spike this summer. Fullerton police Sgt. Jon Radus says there have been 85 incidents involving a BB or pellet gun since June 1.
