A Massachusetts mom is firing back on social media after a stranger insulted her son for wearing a tutu at the park.

Three-year-old Roo loves his purple tutu.

His mom, Jen Anderson Shattuck, said he wears it everywhere, adding it had been fine until a run-in at the park with a grown man who took issue with Roo and his tutu.

In fact, the stranger compared the fact that he was allowed to wear it to child abuse.

Shattuck posted about the encounter on her Facebook page.

She said while extremely invasive and upsetting, she and her wife would not be "intimated" and will continue to let him wear whatever he wants.

Her viral post has been shared more than 56,000 times.

The family said they are "grateful" for the overwhelming support, which is pouring in from around the globe.
