5-year-old boy dies in Lake Arrowhead boating accident

LAKE ARROWHEAD, Calif. (KABC) -- A 5-year-old boy was killed in a boating accident at Lake Arrowhead Sunday afternoon.

Authorities said around 4:20 p.m., the boy was riding in the bow section of the boat while it was pulling a skier. When the skier fell into the water, the boat operator turned the vessel around, which resulted in the child falling over the side and being struck by the boat.

The little boy suffered traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
