SAN DIEGO (KABC) -- A major drug bust took place at the California border Wednesday morning, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Officers said they stopped a 31-year-old man driving a 1994 Ford F-250 XL pick-up truck at the U.S. Port of Entry in San Ysidro along Interstate 5 at about 11:30 a.m.
When officers spoke with the man, they said he seemed nervousness, so they called a K9 over to check the vehicle.
The dog then alerted officers near the undercarriage of the truck near the front fuel tank.
Officers inspected the front fuel tank and said they found 150 pounds of liquid methamphetamine inside.
The man, who officers said is a U.S. citizen, was arrested and will face federal charges.
