HOUSTON -- La Bare Houston is known for chiseled male bodies and Texas-sized sex appeal, but its latest performers were a little more mature.

Some ladies from a nearby nursing home got quite a surprise when they went for an outing to the male strip club.

"The music starts and, unlike the hunks I expected, out comes the wheelchair brigade," laughed 88-year-old Esther Weinstein.

Men from the nursing home had crashed the party, taking the stage dressed as the Village People and other characters and ripping off their shirts to shake it for the ladies.

Some even had walkers and canes to help out. But the ladies took the surprise in stride, breaking out the dollar bills and tucking them in the men's waistbands.

The joke started a few months ago, when the ladies crashed a party the men were holding at Hooters.

"We dressed up in our Hooter outfits with our big balloons," said 86-year-old Loretta Roman. "They had been looking for a way to get back at us."
