Woman shot to death in Pomona; investigation underway

POMONA, Calif. (KABC) -- An investigation is underway after a woman was fatally shot in Pomona early Monday morning.

Pomona police received a report of shots fired in the area of Holt Boulevard and Towne Avenue around 2:30 a.m.

Responding officers found a woman on the corner of Holt Boulevard and Mountain View Avenue suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has not been identified and police have not released any suspect information.
