4 injured in Palmdale shooting; 2 suspects detained
Authorities said a dispute escalated into a shooting in Palmdale, sending four people to the hospital.

PALMDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- Four people were injured during an altercation that escalated into a shooting in Palmdale on Monday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

The sheriff's department said the shooting happened in a shopping plaza in the 37000 block of 25th Street East near a Jiffy Lube and Palmdale Smokes at about 2 p.m.

Deputies said the shooting stemmed from an altercation, though it's not clear what started the dispute.

Three people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds, according to the sheriff's department.

Deputies stated one person who was not shot suffered injuries during the altercation and was taken to the hosptial for treatment.

A witness told ABC7 she heard two gun shots and looked out her window to see a man running.

Two possible suspects in the shooting were detained, according to deputies.

The sheriff's department earlier stated an additional suspect could possibly be at large, but later stated they were no longer searching for any other suspects.
