ELYSIAN PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Four people, including a 4-month-old baby girl, were seriously injured in a three-car crash on the northbound 110 Freeway in Elysian Park Saturday afternoon.

Authorities said the crash happened around 6:40 p.m. on the freeway just south of the 5 Freeway. Some of the people involved in the crash had to be extracted from their cars, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A 4-month-old infant was in grave condition, while a 9-year-old girl, a 23-year-old woman and 48-year-old woman were all in serious condition. All four victims were hospitalized.

A 23-year-old man suffered only minor injuries and was taken into custody, authorities said.
