ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Voters across the country were visiting the gravesite of women's suffragist leader Susan B. Anthony in Rochester, New York, on Election Day.
Visitors left flowers, notes and stickers reading "I just voted."
Anthony played a pivotal role in the women's suffrage movement.
She died in 1906, 14 years before the 19th Amendment was ratified in 1920, giving women the right to vote.
The city has extended hours at Mount Hope Cemetery on Election Day for anyone who wants to pay their respects.
