16 vehicles' tires slashed overnight in Ventura neighborhood

VENTURA, Calif. (KABC) -- Sixteen vehicles had their tires slashed overnight in Ventura and police are seeking any involved suspects.

The vandalism occurred in the area of Poli Street and Ferro Drive, Ventura Police said. Most of the vehicles had all four tires punctured with a sharp object.

Police said it's not clear if there was one suspect or several working in a group. It's believed the offender or offenders may be re-offending parolees, drug offenders or juveniles.

Police asked community members to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity. Police also remind people to lock doors and windows, set an alarm if available, improve outdoor lighting and to communicate with neighbors.
