SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. (KABC) -- A brush fire burned dangerously close to dozens of homes in San Juan Capistrano on Sunday.

The Orange County Fire Authority said at least 50 homes were threatened when the brush fire quickly scorched 60 acres near San Jun Hills High School just before noon.

About 120 firefighters, two bulldozers and two helicopters responded to the fire, which was centered in the 800 block of Avenida La Mancha, officials said.
