Mammoth Mountain receives nearly 4 feet of snow
Mammoth Mountain received nearly 4 feet of snow within the past 48 hours, causing significant motor difficulties for vacationers.

MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif. (KABC) -- Mammoth Mountain received nearly four feet of snow in the last 48 hours.

ABC7 reporter Coleen Sullivan's vacation at the resort was disrupted after she was left stranded when her SUV rental slid into the snow.

Chains are recommended for drivers heading up to the mountain area for anyone who wants to enjoy the winter weather.
