Hundreds of street racers take over Westminster Mall parking lot

WESTMINSTER, Calif. (KABC) -- It was a wild scene in Westminster Tuesday night, as hundreds of street racers took over a mall parking lot doing "doughnuts" and sending plumes of smoke into the air.

The incident happened near the Krispy Kreme store at the Westminster Mall at about 10:45 p.m.

Police stood back and watched for a while before moving in to disperse the crowd. No injuries, crashes or arrests were reported.
