2 men fatally shot in Pacoima; suspect sought

PACOIMA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Two men were shot to death in a residential area of Pacoima Sunday morning.

Authorities received a call regarding shots fired around 5:45 a.m. at an apartment complex near Glenoaks Boulevard and Pierce Street. Police arrived at the scene and found a man in his mid-20s and a man in his mid-30s with gunshot wounds.

Both men were transported to a hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

The two men had walked out of the apartment with the suspect, police said, and the pair were shot at close range.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, but no other information was available. He fled the scene on foot, running northbound on Glenoaks Boulevard. Authorities believe the shooting was gang related.

The investigation is ongoing. Authorities are asking any witnesses to come forward.
