2 missing Corona hikers found safe
Two women who disappeared near a popular hiking trail in Corona were found safe Wednesday afternoon.

CORONA, Calif. (KABC) -- Two women who disappeared near a popular hiking trail in Corona were found safe Wednesday afternoon.

Amanda Sanchez, 22, and Jasmine Jackson, 23, went hiking at the Skyline Drive Trailhead near Cleveland National Forest. The girls were last seen around 1 p.m. Tuesday, and one of their cars was found by family members near the trail.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department dispatched a helicopter to aid in the search. At the same time, search and rescue crews combed the area on foot.

The two were found by Sanchez's father near a mine shaft by the hiking trail.
