FLORENCE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies were investigating the death of a man who was fatally shot in front of a liquor store in Florence on Sunday.

The two men were standing or walking in front of Lucky One liquor store in the 1700 block of Firestone Boulevard, when the suspects approached on foot and opened fire, Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies said.

One victim was shot in the shoulder, while the other was shot in the abdomen. Both were taken to a hospital, where one was pronounced dead.

A 3-year-old child in a passing car was injured when a bullet struck the car and shattered a window, sending the glass into the child's face.

The suspects fled on foot and remained at large.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies said the shooting may be gang-related.
