LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- The mother of two young boys found wandering alone in Long Beach was found Friday, said police.

Long Beach police said 23-year-old Shenae Irene Dixon was located in good health, and she will be questioned by detectives.

The boys were found wandering the streets alone in Long Beach Thursday around 8:45 a.m. near 60th Street and Atlantic Avenue. They are believed to be brothers and appear to be around 1 and 2 years old.

The older child was found wearing a T-shirt, shorts and sandals. The younger boy was wearing a T-shirt and diapers.

"We're really confused as to how they could be found alone like this without anybody nearby. We're concerned for that," said Nancy Pratt with the Long Beach Police Department.

Investigators said they were able to identify the boy's mother after receiving a phone call from a relative who recognized the boys on the news.
