ONTARIO, Calif. (KABC) -- An investigation is underway after a man's body was found inside a refrigerator on a street in Ontario.

A man on his way to work contacted police around 6 a.m. Tuesday, saying there was a refrigerator on the road in the 700 block of South Hope Avenue.

The caller told authorities that there was a body or a body part hanging out of the fridge.

Authorities said there were no visible signs of injury or trauma to the body. Ontario police identified the man as 36-year-old Jason Daniel Garcia, of Downey.

Authorities released a surveillance photo, hoping it would lead to a break in the case. The image showed a light-colored pickup truck transporting the refrigerator in the bed.

The investigation was ongoing.
