Irvine makes top 10 list for best places to raise a family

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Irvine made it into a top ten list for the best places to raise a family.

The Orange County city came in ninth in a recent study of the country's largest cities. The Wallet Hub study looked at dozens of factors such as housing, affordability, school system quality and even playgrounds per capita.

Overland Park, Kansas, topped the list and was followed by Madison, Wisconsin, and Plano, Texas.

San Bernardino ranked near the very bottom, but was ahead of Detroit, Michigan, and Birmingham, Alabama.
