Man shot to death in Leimert Park alley

LEIMERT PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police say a man was found shot to death in an alley in Leimert Park on Tuesday.

Authorities responded to the 2700 block of West Vernon at 5:47 a.m. A motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.

The victim was identified only as a man in his 40s or 50s. Police say the man was not a transient.

Officers have spoken to residents but were unable to find any witnesses. A weapon was not discovered at the scene. No further information was released at this time.
