Man fatally shot in South LA prompts homicide investigation

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police were investigating a shooting that left a man dead on a South Los Angeles street on Tuesday.

Shortly before 3 p.m., officers responded to 97th and Wall streets, where they discovered the body of a man.

A Ford Mustang with its back window blown out was seen parked next to a car seat on the curb.

The area was one of two crime scenes, police said - the other at 98th and San Pedro streets.

San Pedro was closed in both directions as the homicide investigation continued.

No arrests were immediately made.
