VIDEO: Car slams into stalled vehicle on 101 Freeway

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A car slammed into a stalled vehicle on the 101 Freeway in Hollywood, and the dramatic moment of impact was captured on video.

The stalled car was on the fast lane of the freeway when a car smashed into it at approximately 2 a.m. Thursday.

The driver of that first car had swerved to miss another vehicle and hit the wall instead. That driver was with paramedics on the side of the freeway when another car driving at freeway speeds failed to see the stalled car and slammed into it.

The second driver involved had to be cut from his car and transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. His condition was not known.

The vehicles involved ended up with major damage, and debris was strewn all over the freeway.

The scene was cleared, and lanes have since reopened.
