A Redondo Beach woman, who was reported missing after attending the Las Vegas country music festival where dozens were killed, died in the massacre, her family said.

Christiana Duarte, an employee of the Los Angeles Kings hockey team, was last seen at the Route 91 Harvest across the street from the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino before a gunman -- perched on the 32nd floor of the hotel -- opened fire on the crowd of 22,000 people some 500 yards away.

Duarte's family member's confirmed her death to ABC News on Tuesday.

The Kings tweeted from its official twitter account on Monday, urging people to call with any information on Duarte.

Sunday night's massacre was the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history, with at least 59 killed and 527 injured, some by gunfire, some during the chaotic escape. Scores remained in critical condition Tuesday.

Jerry Laird, Duarte's uncle, said she was at the concert and had not been seen or heard from since. He said Duarte lost her phone and ID before the shooting.

One of the friends Duarte was with at the concert was shot in the face and was being treated at a local hospital, Laird said.

Duarte was one of several Southern California residents killed in the massacre.

Among the dead were teachers and local law enforcement and county government employees.

At least 11 others from Southern California were listed among the hundreds injured.
