Two of the hundreds of victims who were wounded Sunday in the Las Vegas mass shooting are teachers at Paramount High School, where students and fellow faculty members expressed hope for their full recoveries.

Autumn Bignami remained in critical but stable condition Tuesday morning after being shot in the face. Her husband, Frank Bignami, was shot in the wrist; a GoFundMe page for the couple described him as being "OK."

Counselors were on campus to provide emotional support to students who were shocked and saddened to learn that two of their teachers were among the victims in the senseless attack that killed 59.

"We entered class and everyone was so depressed and sad," said student Carmen Gallardo. "And then they told us the story and everyone started getting sad. People were crying."

The Bignamis were at the country music festival when gunfire rained down on the audience from the gunman's perch at the Mandalay Bay hotel-casino across the street.

Students said Frank Bignami is a physical education teacher; his wife is an ASB adviser.

"Everyone loves her. She's really nice," student Erica Romo said. "She inspires a lot of people."
